Sokodai View Point

This viewpoint is found along the Route 241, which connects the town of Akanko Onsen to the town of Teshikaga. There is a parking on the roadside and you climb a bit from there to the view point, which commands two emerald blue lakes, Lake Penketo & Lake Panketo on its back, amidst the lush green forests. You might see the shape of Lake Penketo resembles to that of Hokkaido. You can barely see a part of Lake Panketo on its back. It is 18 min. drive from Akanko Onsen.
