SearchTsurumidai Plain
This is a great spot for watching the tancho cranes in Tsurui Village, which is situated on the lake side of Kushiro Shitsugen Wetlands. It is a bustling hub in the winter because it faces prefectural route 53 and has a parking lot. Tancho cranes can be seen from November to March. During the peak season, around 200 tancho cranes gather here to perform their elegant dance.
