Small eruption on October 25th at Mount Meakan. Volcanic Alert Level 2 remains in effect.

An eruption occurred at the Ponmachineshiri crater of Mount Meakan at approximately 1:17 PM on October 25th. No large volcanic rocks have been reported from this eruption; however, Volcanic activity at Mount Meakan is increasing, and there is a possibility of future eruptions of a similar scale.
