Akankohan View Point

This scenic view point is found on the mountain slope, which is utilized as a ski ground during winter time, located in the south of Akanko Onsen. To visit the observatory, drive into the ski area to the parking lot, and hike up the ski slope. From here, the breathtaking panorama includes massive Mt. Oakan and the deep blue water of Lake Akan. Visitors may enjoy a variety of wildflowers during spring through early summer.
