Onnenai Visitor Center

Located on the western edge of the Kushiro Shitsugen Wetlands, this facility serves as an information center, rest spot, and venue for exchange activities. Renovated in spring of 2017 to implement universal design, the center is even more welcoming than ever. The nature sightseeing trails which begin here are mostly special needs accessible wooden promenades, which take about 40 to 60 minutes per circuit. This is an ideal place for observing seasonal flowers and wild birds, and you might even see Japanese fireflies in July to August. Cross-country skiing is available in winter.
