Sogakudai View Point

This is a view point, which is found along the Route 241, which connects the town of Akanko Onsen to the town of Teshikaga. It commands a spectacular view of Mt. Oakan and Mt. Meakan on its back. Both two mountains are included in "the Japan's top 100 most scenic mountains". The driving route is winding and wild animals, such as deers and red foxes cross the road frequently. Caution is advised. The place is about 15 minutes drive from Akanko Onsen. Parking spaces are available on the roadside.
