Lake Akan Ice Festival “Winter Fireworks”

An exciting & unique event that you can fully enjoy in the harsh wintery environment in Hokkaido. Various outdoor activities, such as banana boats, snowmobile, curling, ice cutting are provided on the frozen lake. Piping hot meals are served at food stands. The highlight of the event must be the firework displays held every night. At temperatures below zero ( usually around -15 degrees Celsius ), the crystal-clear night sky will be brilliantly decorated with blooming flowers of light.
