This is known as one of Kushiro’s most popular tourist spots and one of Hokkaido’s three most famous bridges. There are four bronze statues on the bridge depicting the four seasons. It is a popular spot for taking commemorative photographs and also for capturing the setting sun, in recent years. (Takes 15 minutes)

Washo Market, the kitchen of Kushiro, is located within walking distance of Kushiro Station and offers the chance to see where the city’s seafood comes from. Kushiro Shitsugen Wetland Observatory was built to resemble tussock grass, a form of vegetation found in the wetland. Inside you will find information about the vegetation and a display featuring the mysterious Sakhalin taimen and other aquatic life.
The Satellite Observatory found at the mid-point of the facility’s connected wooden promenade offers commanding views of the wetland. (required time: 20 minutes if only touring the observatory or 90 minutes if touring the observatory and walking to Satellite Observatory)

A well developed road side station that also has a gift shop selling souvenirs. There is also a Red Beret, a facility housing a restaurant, hot spring and hotel.
