Takimi Bridge
Driving along the Route 240 about 3.5 km east of Akanko Onsen leads to a parking for "Takimi" ("Waterfall View") Bridge, which is the source of Akan River, fed by abundant water from Lake Akan and Lake Taro. This vigorous flow has the appearance of a waterfall, which is thought to be the reason for the name. Autumn is the best season, as the mighty river rushes through the gorge flanked by brilliant reds and yellows, a scene so perfect that it could be called an art of nature.
