Bokke Waking Trail
On the east shore of the lake is a lovely walking path which allows the visitors to explore the nature of Akan. Bokke Walking Trail begins behind Akankohan Eco-museum Center. From here, a 15-minute walk takes you to "Bokke", which is a remain of small crater where volcanic gases and mud bubbling up from the magma below. The temperature of the mud pool is close to 100 degrees Celsius. The trail continues to the cruise boat dock, a walk of about 45 minutes from start to finish. Multiple paths cover the site. You might have chances to see wildlife such as Hokkaido deer, Siberian red squirrel, red fox, black woodpecker, etc.
