Kushiro Marsh Observatory
This is one of the more well known hubs where you can learn about and view the Kushiro Shitsugen Wetlands while on a walk. The first floor of the facility is open to the public free of charge and it offers shops and restaurants. The second floor contains an exhibit hall requiring a small admission fee. The exhibits contain a number of reproduced flora and fauna from the wetlands, including the huge Sakhalin taimen found in the Kushiro Shitsugen Zone. The third floor observatory and rooftop observation deck provide panoramic vistas of the wetlands. There are also satellite observatories along the approx. 2.5km loop trail. The first kilometer of this loop trail clockwise is fully accessible to people with disabilities.
