Lake Akan Ainu Theater IKor阿寒湖 アイヌシアター『イコロ』

This is Japan's first theater which is committed to promoting Indigenous Ainu Culture. 3 different stages are performed every day including Ainu Traditional Dance, which is designated as UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage. From 2019, brand-new play " Lost Kamuy" joined the stages. It features the theme of " co-existence of human and wolves" based on the Ainu legend and performed in a style of Traditional Ainu Dance accompanied with the state-of-the art digital technology.
