    Lake Akan Ainu Theater Ikor to open under COVID-19 Safety Operational Measures

    After a long period of the closure due to COVID-19, Lake Akan Ainu Theater Ikor has now resumed the plays under the new safety measures. July schedule below. July 4th ~ Weekdays : 8:00 pm Traditional Dance, 9:00 pm Lost Kamuy Sat. Sun. National Holidays : 3:00 pm Lost Kamuy, 8:00 pm Traditional Dance, 9:00 pm Lost Kamuy * Each play lasts about 40 minutes. ( No admittance during the performance ) Please wear a mask when entering the venue.

    Lake Akan Sightseeing Cruise Boat back to operation

    Lake Akan Sightseeing Cruise Boat has resumed the operation from July 1st. The operation schedule below. ( Cruise Time 85 minutes) July 1st- July 10 9:00, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00 July 11th – July 31st Leave every hour on the hour starting from 9:00 and last boat leaves at 16:00 *Chartered small boats leave anytime from 8:00 to 17:00 We’ll show the August schedule at the end of July.

    In response to the extension of the ” State of Emergency “, Akanko Tourist Information Office & Lake Akan Ainu Theater 【Ikor】will be closed until May 31, all the operation of tourist boats will be suspended until May 15th, which might be prolonged depending on the situation.

    Akankohan National Ski Area ‘Utara’ Opens

    Akankohan national Ski Area ‘Utara’ Opens Dec. 29th. The area is located in the eastern Hokkaido on the south shore of Lake Akan and is renowned for fine powder snow, “Japow”. The site is used for a variety of national and international ski competetions every year. Como on! to Akanko Onsen and immerse yourself  into world highly acclaimed powder snow. The season ends April 5th. *The schedule might be changed depending on the weather conditions.
