Bokke Walking Trail begins behind Akankohan Eco-museum Center. A 15-minute walk will take you to the place known as "Bokke", which means " boiling mud pool " in the Indigenous Ainu language. Here, hot mud and volcanic gases can be seen bubbling from the earth. The sightseeing trail continues to the cruise boat dock, a walk of about 45 minutes from start to finish. Multiple paths cover the site where you can enjoy relaxed strolling. You might have chances to see wildlife such as Hokkaido deer, Siberian red squirrel, red fox, black woodpecker.
