Kushiro City Zoo

With a motto of "Experience life, spin the tales of life", Kushiro Zoo is the largest-scale zoo in Hokkaido, and is beloved by locals and tourists alike. The Hokkaido Zone provides a chance to observe unique Hokkaido animals up close, with exhibits including brown bear, Blakiston's fish owl, and tancho crane. Notably, Kushiro Zoo has a leading role in collaboration with zoos nationwide to develop a polar bear breeding program.
