Sarubo Observatory and Sarurun Observatory
These observatories offer panoramic overlooks of Lake Toro, the largest lake of the Kushiro Shitsugen Wetlands, as well as a cluster of small marshes including Sarurun Marsh, Bon Marsh, Eoruto Marsh, and Makuntoh Marsh. A trail entrance is located alongside national route 391. From here a 200-meter trek up the mountain path will take you to Sarubo Observatory. It is approximately 800 meters through the forest to Sarurun Observatory. Please take care, as these trails are poor in winter or during rainy weather.
