Kushiro City Museum
Located along the shore of Lake Harutori, this museum features a striking exterior by architect Kiko Mozuna. The displays within include an aquarium of hibuna goldfish, as well as many other informative materials introducing all manner of nature and history of the Kushiro area. An entire floor is dedicated to Ainu culture, one of the largest-scale such exhibits in Japan. The cleverly designed interior maximizes appreciation of exhibits.
