Furthermore, though not easily visible to the naked eye, areas where hot springs bubble up from the lake bottom exhibit unusually thin ice.
Even when people work on the ice surface, they do so only after ensuring safety precautions are in place.
Despite warning signs and ropes blocking access, people occasionally attempt to walk on the ice. Residents of the hot spring town frequently report such incidents to us.
Walking on the ice at this time is a life-threatening danger.
Please absolutely do not step onto the ice.
