The Bokke Promenade was closed due to bear sightings, but has since reopened after an investigation by the Ministry of the Environment.

However, when entering the trail,

- Carry something that makes noise, such as a bell or radio. *This equipment is designed to alert bears to the presence and approach of people and prevent unexpected encounters, but do not rely on it and always be aware of your surroundings.

- In bad weather or at dusk, bears and people cannot recognize each other, so even more caution is required.

- Carry bear repellent spray in case of an encounter.
