Fishing has been permitted in Lake Akan and the Akan River!
Please enjoy fishing by following the rules below.
・Approval period
Only on the day, from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset
May 1st to November 30th
・Aquatic lives
Japanese char, Rainbow trout, Kokanee, Cherry trout, Sakhalin Taimen, Carp, crucian carp, smelt, goby, shrimp
(However, fishing of Cherry trout is prohibited from May 1st to June 30th)
・Fishing gear and fishing methods
Lake Akan: Hand fishing and rod fishing: Up to two rods per person, one hook per rod (except for smelt and goby)
Landing net: Up to one net per person, the diameter of the net mouth must be within 30cm, and the length of the bag must be within 30cm (shrimp)
Akan River: Rod fishing, up to one rod per person, one hook per rod.
Hyotan Pond: Hand and rod fishing, up to one rod per person, one hook per rod.
・Fishing area
Lake Akan, Lake, Taro, Lake Jiro, Iozan River, Akan River main stream, Hyotan Pond, except prohibited areas
Catch and release area (Akan River main stream from Akan Lake outlet to the downstream end of Yukan Bridge)
・Fishing license fee: 1,500 yen (including consumption tax)
Certificate issuer: Lake Akan Fisheries Cooperative Association
*Bait fishing is prohibited in the Catch and Release area, and use barbless hooks no longer than 25mm.
