This is Kushiro's only sake brewery, founded in 1919. The brand Fukutsukasa comes from "fuku," good luck, and "tsukasadoru," to rule. In other words, they hope their sake brings its drinkers good fortune. This sake is made with mostly Hokkaido-grown rice and finished with Kushiro's pure ground water, making a drink that leverages the best of the cool Hokkaido climate.
