A mysterious lake that Marimos are livingEnjoy "Lake Akan" on a pleasure boat
On the other hand, it is a special flight other than regular flight that is popular because people can see a dramatic moving scene. The "Lake Akan Early Morning" on board before breakfast takes about 60 minutes to depart at 6 o'clock every morning until October 31. There is also a marimo viewing time on Chuurui Island.

And the feature of this early morning sightseeing is that "Talking Section" of the Ainu people is held on board. Experience the mysterious drift ice world
Have you touched drift ice? Have you ever swayed wet towels in the freezing world? This is a facility where you can experience such experiences in summer. It is about 10 minutes by car from JR Abashiri Station, and is located at the summit of Mt. Tento.

In the Drift Ice Experience Terrace, which exhibits real drift ice in the room kept at minus 15 degrees, you can actually touch the drift ice, and even do Shibare (which is a dialect of Hokkaido and means freeze) experiment with freezing a wet towel.
You can also meet creatures living in Sea of Okhotsk such as Crione.
The panoramic view from the observation terrace is also superb.
