Kushiro's largest event marvellously marks the end of summer. Between listening to the "don" ("boom") of fireworks and feasting ("paku") upon beautiful foods from land and sea, there is plenty to enjoy. Due to this play on words, the festival was named "Don-Paku". Numerous acts take the stage, including character shows, singing performances, dances, and much, much more.
